Invitation Biology of Fish Gametes

Welcome to the 10th International Workshop on the Biology of Fish Gametes. After 9 successful worshops organized in Vodňany (Czech Republic), Valencia (Spain), Budapest (Hungary), Albufeira (Portugal), Ancona (Italy), České Budějovice (Czech Republic), Rennes (France), Gdańsk (Poland) and León (Spain), the event will return to Hungary to the lovely lakeside resort town of Balatonalmádi. The workshop will discuss pertinent questions of sperm and oocyte biology, gametogenesis, endocrine and molecular control of reproductive processes as well as assisted reproduction technologies such as gamete and germ cell cryopreservation and transplantation.

The event is co-organized by the Institute of Aquaculture and Environmental Safety of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) and Diamond Congress Kft. We invite everyone interested to submit high-quality abstracts for oral or poster presentation at the workshop. The scientific committee will select the materials eligible for oral presentation from the abstracts submitted to the conference organizers. A special attention will be paid to poster sessions allowing authors who submitted their abstracts to present and discuss their results. Participation of young scientists, MSc and PhD students is especially encouraged. Similarly to the previous events the organizers plan to present the authors of the best student presentations (both oral and poster) with special awards.
